New DLS Location in Kapa‘a, Kaua‘i
Now Open at Mahelona Memorial Hospital
On Monday, February 12, 2024, Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc. (DLS) opened a new location at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, a part of Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) Kaua‘i Region. This patient service center is located in the Outpatient Services Building, next to The Clinic at Kapa‘a. See the Maps & Hours linked below. Patients that have lab orders can request their doctor to send them to DLS or bring in a paper copy to get their tests done at this site. Toxicology services are also provided.
Expanding Across Kaua‘i
In addition to this Kapa‘a location, DLS opened a Waimea location in the Kawaiola Medical Building at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2024. Rounding out DLS’s Kaua‘i presence are two more sites in Līhuʻe and Kalaheo.

Meeting the Community
HHSC Kaua’i Region hosted their first annual Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair on the Mahelona Memorial Hospital campus the weekend before DLS opened there. It was a great opportunity to let the community know about our new convenient location and to experience the great Kaua‘i hospitality.
